Tilly Tec Modular lighting
system
The original designer of this
modular system Thomas Tilly designed this system so that
the diver had a lighting
system that is completely flexible.
An umbilical torch for deep
technical diving, a handheld torch for less demanding warm water dives
and the option to upgrade light heads as technology improves.
Light heads:
Tilly Tec light heads are
precision machined from aluminium and have a Type 3, Class 2 Mil-Spec hard
coat which is durable and corrosion resistant.
High power LED’s provide
illumination from 14,000 to 75,000 LUX @ 1 mtr. Halogen equivalent 50 to
250 watt.
Focusable heads from 4 –
15 degrees also allow for total flexibility in all water conditions.
Batteries:
Tilly Tec dive torches are
powered by ‘LiFe’ (Lithium-Ferro batteries) which have
a much longer life and do
not lose power over time compared to other rechargeable batteries.
They cost a little bit more
but last up to 10 times longer- so Tilly think there worth it.
Tilly Tec are the only manufactuer
currently using LiFe batteries but then again the futures always brighter
at Tilly Tec.
Battery canisters are available
in three sizes to provide a choice of burn times to suit all applications
and are also machined to take slide in Tilly tec aluminium handles.
Umbilical leads: 1 mtr lead
are supplied as standard with all umbilical torches.
Longer or shorter lengths
can be made to order as can leads to take multiple heads.
Connections:
All connections between
heads, battery packs & umbilical leads are triple ‘o’ rings for security
and are never exposed while in use.
