Tilly Tec W40 ‘BACK UP’ TORCH and MAXI LIGHT
A powerful high power single LED handheld torch delivering a blinding equivalent of 40 watts halogen light, – brighter than most halogen powered primary dive lights. To call it a back up torch is a bit of an insult but because of its size the W40 is often referred to as a ‘back up’- size for size this is the most powerful LED torch available.

The main body is machined from a single piece of delrin and is ergonomically designed to provide a non slip grip and has a machined fixing point for the supplied lanyard & clip. The W40 is turned on by simply rotating the triple ‘o’ ring sealed head 1/16-1-8th of a turn clockwise (the reverse to turn off) so the ‘o’ rings are never exposed in use.

Power is supplied by 3 AA batteries which will give a 3 hour burn time on full power and then a further 2 hours @ 30%.
If you decide to use your own rechargeable batteries then you will only get 3 hours at full power.

The back up torch that is brighter than most primary halogen torches.

Although it is called a back-up light, I used it as my main light source on Caribbean night dives. The beam proved more than bright enough. It had an extremely even super-bright hotspot, plus a series of concentric halos that could light up sleeping animals without disturbing them.

MAXI LIGHT

At last reds really look like reds, honestly! Tillytec have produced a LED diving torch with the quality of daylight for true colours under water. The Maxi Light works with alkaline batteries, normal NiMh batteries or with the new LiFe battery with charger. All types of batteries can be removed without the need for tools, so carrying the torch in an airplane is no longer a problem.
By utilising LED technology, the Maxi Light has a long burning duration, and is so powerful that it can be used as a main torch.
