gdz0272 TUSA SF6 TRI-EX Fins ..... The next generation IMPREX Tri-Ex fin utilizes three different materials. First is the side rib (hard material), efficiently converting the energy of a kick into propelling power. Second is the blade (medium-hard material), increasing the efficiency of the water channel. Third is the soft pocket (soft material), enhancing the fitting comfort of the boots. The designers expanded the blade angle theory that had produced a strong propulsion force with only a light kick in the SF-8 model. A fin testing robot was used to do a computer analysis of the propulsion (speed) and electrical load when kicking. Tests were also run using real divers in a water circulating pool. After repeating these tests many times, the blade angle was set at 20 degrees, the most comfortable for the diver. A smooth shape was also
created with no level differences between the foot pocket and the blade.
This means that compared with conventional products, less initial load
(energy) is required when first starting to kick. The excellent fit and
efficient transmission of energy ensures that body fatigue and air consumption
is minimized

Measuring for Beaver fin springs
The beaver finsprings have a "keyhole"
shaped slot which clips over the "nailhead" type fitting post on most modern
fins.
If you want a different fitting please
call the shop.
Because it depends on what sort of boots
you wear and how far your fins come over your boots the best way to choose
your fin strap size is to either try them on or actually measure
the distance from fitting post to fitting post around your ankle when you
are wearing the fin in your usual dive boot/suit. The spring needs
to be slightly stretched to provide tension when fitted so you should probably
choose the size slightly shorter than this measurement.
The lengths of the springs between the
centres of the slots when unstretched are
Small 25.5 cm / 10.25 inches
Med 28.5 cm / 11.25
inches
Large 30.5 cm / 12 inches
XL 33 cm
/ 13 inches
